History Of Pakhtuns,Pathan's short history,
پٹھانوں کی مختصر تاریخ۔
Pakhtuns are from the bloodline of "Qais Abdur Rashid" and Hazart Khalid Bin Waleed (R.A);. Qais Embraced Islam in Medina when he met Prophet (P.B.U.H) Muhammad Salal-La-Ho-Alihe-Waslam. Qais married the daughter of Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed. Pakhtuns are basically Afghan. Pashtuns are inhabitants of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Their mother tongue is Pashto or Pakhto. Pashtuns are famous for their hospitality, honor, bravery, loyalty and are truth loving people.
Pathan Tribe has 4 Major clan.
Few clans of Kariani
Few Pathan's tribes have been Kashmirized and Punjabized along with time. In this regard the best example is of Niazi tribe and Sado Zai tribe. Niazi are found in MianWali while Sado Zai tribe in found Kashmir.
Few of the tribes are Pashtunized but from blood line they are not Pathan. The relevant in this regard are Hazara and Turi / Toori tribes. Hazara are from the blood line of Changez Khan while Turi / Toori tribe captured area from Bangash tribe during the era of Safavid Dynasty in 1536. Later on Safavid empire was defeated in April 1709 by Hotak dynasty by Mirwais Hotak.
Year 595 Qais Abdur Rashid traveled to Medina where he converted to Islam. Qais Abdur Rashid along with Arabs captured Patna city. Patna means to root or expel. Since then the Pashtun race is known as Pathan in Urdu / Hindi.
